Hajós Alfréd Sportuszoda
Magyarország első fedett uszodáját - olimpiai bajnokunk, Hajós Alfréd tervei alapján - 1930. decemberében adták át.
A nyitott versenyuszoda terveit Csonka Ferenc 1937-ben készítette.
1983-84-ben a fedett medenceteret fel kellett újítani, mert a magas páratartalom miatt az épület állaga folyamatosan romlott. A felújítás során a fedett uszoda egyetlen bauxitból készült részét - a nagymedencét teljesen elbontották. Helyére feszített víztükrös medence került.
1999. és 2002. között három ütemben végrehajtott rekonstrukciós munkák keretében a Hajós Alfréd uszoda átfogó felújítása valósult meg.
Az uszoda 79242 m2-en terül el.
Az épület 4 szintes, 8 medencével, amelyből 4 tanmedence, üzemel.

This building which was designed by our olympic champion Alfréd Hajós opened in December, 1930 and was the first covered swimming pool in Hungary.
And in 1937 Ferenc Csonka made the plans of the opened contest pool.
Unfortunately in 1983-84 the covered part of the pools had to be rebuilt because the high humidity caused serious destruction on the building’s consistency. During the resurrection the big pool - the only part of the swimming pool which was made of bauxite - had to be completely pulled down. A new pool with strung water surface was put to its place.
Between 1999 and 2002 the full reformation of the Alfréd Hajós Swimming Pool took place within the confines of a blanket reconstruction.
The swimming pool lies on an area of 79242 m2.
The building has got four floors with eight swimming pools from what four pools work as children pools.
On the average 370 programs a year are held in the establishment. |

Opened 33 m pool: 6 –16 ( it is closed for public in winter time. grand opening at May 1 ), 6-17
Opened 50 m pool: 8 – 16 in winter,(according to the weekly waterpolo trainings in summer)
Opened diving pool: closed
